How Cursive Font Generator collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information

2026/08/21

1. Scope and Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Cursive Font Generator ("Cursive Font Generator," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit or use cursivefontgenerator.me, create an account, save a design, create a public share link, contact us, or otherwise use our services (the "Service").

Cursive Font Generator is the controller of the personal information described in this Policy unless another party is identified as the controller. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].

This Policy does not govern third-party websites, apps, or services that you choose to visit, including social networks reached through our sharing buttons.

2. A Privacy-Focused Generator

The core generator is available without an account. Unicode transformation, font previews, and ordinary PNG, transparent PNG, and SVG generation take place in your browser. Those ordinary downloads are sent directly to your device; we do not need to receive the downloaded file to provide that feature.

There are important exceptions:

  • If you are signed in and copy or download a design, we may save the text and design settings to your account history.
  • If you create a public share link, we store a design snapshot and generate share-preview images that are uploaded to our object storage.
  • If you use AI Signature Improver, we send the submitted image and instructions to APImart so its model provider can analyze or transform the image. APImart's temporary input URL may remain available for up to 72 hours. We do not place that uploaded original in our own object storage.
  • If you use AI Handwriting Generator, you must own this handwriting or have permission to use it. We place optimized samples in private, temporary Cloudflare R2 storage. Through short-lived signed access, APImart and its model provider retrieve the samples for processing. Our site attempts to delete the temporary samples at terminal states. Failed deletions are retried when you later check AI access or load AI history, as well as on a repeated terminal request. A bucket lifecycle rule provides additional cleanup only when configured and operational. Objects may persist temporarily after provider, storage, or network failures. These site-storage practices do not state how long APImart or its model provider retains information.
  • Completed AI Signature Improver and AI Handwriting Generator results are copied into private object storage linked to your account. They remain available until you delete the generation or your account, subject to limited backups and legal retention.
  • Technical requests, authentication, analytics, security, and error handling involve server or service-provider processing as described below.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Account and authentication information. When you register with email and password, we collect your name, email address, password hash, email-verification status, account identifiers, and related timestamps. We do not store your password in readable form. When you use Google sign-in or Google One Tap, Google may provide your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and authentication tokens or scopes needed to connect the account.

Design and generator information. Signed-in history may contain the text you entered, generator mode, selected Unicode style or font, colors, dimensions, font size, spacing, alignment, line height, stroke, shadow, background choice, and other settings needed to restore the design. You may also add a design name or mark a design as a favorite.

AI-tool information. When you use AI Signature Improver, we process the signature image you upload, the improvement direction you select, model feedback, generation status, output images, and usage-count information. Do not upload another person's signature without authorization. When you use AI Handwriting Generator, we process authorized handwriting samples, target text, style analysis, text-verification results, generation status, output images, and usage-count information. Do not use it for signatures, checks, contracts, prescriptions, identity documents, or authorization documents. The Handwriting to Font worksheet is analyzed and converted in your browser; the generated font file is downloaded directly to your device rather than stored by us.

Public-share information. When you choose Share design, we store a random public identifier, the design snapshot, generated preview and Open Graph images, share status, and aggregate counts such as opens, link copies, and design reuses. Reports about a shared design may include a reason, optional details, moderation status, and related timestamps.

Communications. If you contact us, we collect the email address, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to provide. We also process email-delivery information for verification, password reset, and other transactional messages.

Information collected automatically

Device and network information. Our servers and infrastructure providers may process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested URL, request time, response status, and diagnostic or security logs.

Usage and analytics information. We use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") to understand visits and product use. This may include pages viewed, referral or campaign parameters, interactions, general device information, approximate location, and generator events such as character count, style or font identifier, canvas preset, export type, success or failure, login state, and share source. Our event-tracking code is designed not to send the actual text entered in the generator to GA4. AI Handwriting Generator events are limited to workflow state, sample count, resolution tier, result type, and stable success or failure codes. Our custom event code does not add target text, filenames, images or their URLs, account or session identifiers, provider task IDs, style profiles, or IP addresses to those events.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, browser storage, pixels, and similar technologies for authentication, security, temporary generator state, and analytics. Details appear in our Cookie Policy.

Information from other sources

We may receive account information from Google when you choose Google sign-in, security and delivery information from our infrastructure and email providers, and referral parameters from a link you follow to the Service.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide the generator, downloads, account, history, favorites, and sharing features you request;
  • authenticate users, verify email addresses, maintain sessions, and recover accounts;
  • save, restore, rename, favorite, share, revoke, and delete designs;
  • generate and deliver public-share previews and measure aggregate share use;
  • analyze an uploaded signature, create requested signature alternatives, store completed private results, and enforce complimentary or paid AI usage limits;
  • analyze authorized handwriting samples, generate and verify requested text, store the completed private result, and enforce the same AI usage limits;
  • respond to reports, support requests, and other communications;
  • operate, troubleshoot, secure, monitor, and improve the Service;
  • prevent fraud, spam, abuse, unlawful activity, and violations of our Terms of Service;
  • understand traffic, feature use, and marketing attribution;
  • comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
  • notify users about material service, security, or policy changes.

We do not use generator text, uploaded signatures, or generated results to train our own artificial-intelligence model. APImart and the underlying model provider process AI-tool inputs under their applicable terms and policies. The Service does not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar data-protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing needed to provide an account or feature you request, including history, downloads, and public sharing.
  • Legitimate interests: operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Service; preventing abuse; maintaining records; and understanding product performance, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: non-essential cookies or analytics where applicable law requires consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
  • Legal obligation: processing needed to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or maintain required records.
  • Legal claims and vital interests: processing necessary to protect users, the public, or our legal rights in exceptional circumstances.

6. When We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

Service providers. Vendors process information on our behalf to provide hosting and content delivery, database infrastructure, object storage, authentication, transactional email, analytics, security, and technical support. Current core providers include:

  • Google for Google sign-in, Google One Tap, and GA4;
  • Neon for managed PostgreSQL database infrastructure;
  • Cloudflare R2 for share-preview storage, private AI results, and temporary AI Handwriting Generator samples;
  • APImart and its underlying model provider for AI signature and handwriting analysis and generation; and
  • Resend for transactional email delivery.

These providers process information under their own contracts and privacy terms, and may use subprocessors.

At your direction or publicly. A public share is available to anyone who has its URL. A recipient can view the design, copy the share link, or use the design as a starting point. Sharing buttons may open Facebook, X, Pinterest, WhatsApp, or another service that you select. The destination service receives information according to its own policies when you open or use it.

Legal, safety, and enforcement. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, or property; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce our Terms; or respond to an emergency.

Business transfers. Information may be disclosed as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

With consent. We may disclose information for another purpose after obtaining your permission.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising.

7. Public Shares

Public sharing is optional. Public links are intentionally accessible without sign-in and should be treated as public even if search engines are instructed not to index them. A noindex instruction is not an access control and does not prevent a recipient from forwarding, copying, screenshotting, or independently saving the content.

Do not include confidential information, personal information about another person, or content you do not have the right to publish. You may revoke a share from your account, but revocation cannot remove copies already made by other people or third-party services.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Current product retention includes:

  • a guest generator draft in session storage generally lasts only for the current browser-tab session;
  • ordinary signed-in design history is kept for up to 90 days and is limited to 100 items per account;
  • favorited designs may remain while they are favorited or until you delete them or your account;
  • active public shares and their preview images may remain until you revoke the share, delete related content, or delete your account;
  • after revocation, stored share-preview assets are scheduled for deletion, ordinarily after a seven-day operational period;
  • APImart input uploads may remain available through its temporary upload URL for up to 72 hours;
  • AI Handwriting Generator samples use private, temporary Cloudflare R2 storage. The site attempts deletion when a generation reaches a terminal state, and later AI access, AI history, or terminal requests retry failed deletion. A bucket lifecycle rule is additional cleanup only when configured and operational; objects may persist temporarily after provider, storage, or network failures. This describes our site storage, not APImart's retention practices;
  • completed AI Signature Improver and AI Handwriting Generator results are kept in private storage until you delete the generation or your account; deleting a result removes the active object, subject to limited backups and legal holds;
  • authentication sessions are generally configured to expire after seven days, subject to renewal, logout, or revocation; and
  • account records are retained while the account remains open and then deleted or de-identified, subject to limited backups, security records, legal holds, and records we must retain by law.

Analytics, infrastructure logs, email-delivery records, reports, and backups follow applicable configuration, provider, security, and legal retention periods. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.

9. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are supported by recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for more information about safeguards applicable to your information.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS, access controls, signed and production-secure authentication cookies, password hashing, rate limiting, and storage-provider security controls. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting access to your email and device. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account or a public share has been compromised.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • request access to and a copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of a sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising where applicable;
  • appeal a refusal to act on a request where local law provides that right; and
  • complain to a data-protection authority.

Account controls may allow you to edit profile details, delete history, change favorites, revoke shares, or delete your account. You may also send a request to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information needed to record or complete the request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification of their authority.

You may use the core generator without an account. You can control cookies and browser storage as explained in the Cookie Policy. Unsubscribing from or blocking transactional messages may prevent us from completing account verification, password recovery, or important service notices.

12. California Privacy Notice

If the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") applies to our processing, California residents may request to know, correct, or delete covered personal information and may exercise applicable opt-out and non-discrimination rights.

During the preceding 12 months, the categories described in this Policy may include identifiers; internet or other electronic network activity; account and authentication information; user-provided design content; and inferences limited to product usage or preferences. We collect these categories from you, your device, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and our service providers. We use and disclose them for the business purposes described in Sections 4 and 6.

We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising during the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Because we do not currently conduct those activities, there is no sale or sharing for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and honor applicable opt-out signals and rights.

13. Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 may not create an account or create public shares. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this section, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Material changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date.
